About The Position

Requirements

  • FAA repair station experience preferred
  • Prior experience performing work in accordance with FAA regulations
  • Be competent and experienced in the use of various hand tools and measuring equipment required
  • Experience using various measurement tools such as micrometers, pressure gauges, multi-meters required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and be able to communicate effectively with other employees
  • Must be able to interpret documents such as policy, repair and safety manuals
  • Positive disposition, professional attitude, professional appearance
  • Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and meet all company insurance criteria
  • Successful completion of pre-employment required DOT drug screening and other required background checks
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • May work outdoors or in hangar
  • May work in close proximity to moving aircraft and machinery
  • May work in a potentially noisy work environment

Responsibilities

  • Accomplish repairs, overhauls, and inspections, on aircraft components such as, landing gear, brakes, wheels, etc.
  • Document work completed per company procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Manufacture, repair, and overhaul aircraft parts in accordance with written instructions, blueprints or engineering drawings
  • Read and interpret written instructions, blueprints or engineering drawings accurately
  • Accurately and legibly record each maintenance or alteration on the proper repair station and/or customer supplied forms (to include signature or initials)
  • Maintain records such as work order documentation, logs, and time & material records
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Other duties as assigned
