About The Position

This position involves developing, directing, planning, and evaluating training programs and activities to meet learning objectives for external customers or internal employees. Key assignments include needs analysis, custom course development, and establishing criteria for evaluating course effectiveness and learning assessments. For instruction within certified educational institutions, the role encompasses organizing, communicating, and delivering course content and materials, as well as developing learning activities and demonstrations. The instructor will collaborate with customer or internal functional organizations to develop, enhance, and evaluate new or existing learning objectives and course content. Responsibilities also include creating course content, training materials, visual aids, and documentation for various instructional formats (lecture, lab, field, CBT, WBT). The role may involve developing exam materials, testing, and qualitatively evaluating participant learning. Continuous monitoring and evaluation of training programs, assessment of results, and implementation of enhancements are also part of the job. Trainers may administer programs and conduct post-training follow-ups to determine the applicability of course material or training approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Determines the organization, communication and delivery of the course content and materials (within a certified educational institution).
  • Develops learning activities and demonstrations (within a certified educational institution).
  • Collaborates with customer or internal functional organization to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate new or existing learning objectives and course content.
  • Creates course content, training materials, visual aids and documentation to support a variety of instructional formats such as lecture, lab exercises, field training, computer-based training (CBT), and/or web-based training (WBT).
  • Develops exam materials.
  • Tests and qualitatively evaluates participant's attainment of learning objectives.
  • Monitors and evaluates training programs, assesses results, and implements enhancements as needed.
  • Administers training programs to meet student needs.
  • Performs post-training follow up to determine applicability of course material or training approaches.
  • Performs assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives.
  • Administers company policies that directly affect employees.
  • Recommends changes to team policies.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity.
  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
  • Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
