About The Position

SAIC is seeking an experienced ATCT (Tower) Air Traffic Control Instructor II to join its Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team. This position is located onsite at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, OK, and involves supporting air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The role is hands-on, requiring the candidate to effectively and consistently deliver high-quality training to a diverse group of developmental air traffic control students. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems, and procedures, and possess the knowledge and skills necessary for obtaining ATCT (TSS) simulation laboratory certification at the FAA Academy. The FAA is responsible for ensuring a high level of safety and professionalism from air traffic control specialists, and a well-trained ATC workforce is crucial for this. To meet these needs, the FAA utilizes contractor-provided instructional services, such as those offered by SAIC, at the FAA Academy and various FAA ATC facilities across the U.S. and its Territories. The scope of these services includes all training and training program support required to prepare students to become fully certified air traffic controllers, covering all types and levels of ATC facilities. Requirements
