About The Position

Overview Sharp Electronics is seeking an AI Process Automation Intern for the Winter 2025-Spring 2026 semester. This internship provides an exciting opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in artificial intelligence and process automation while supporting Sharp's Project Management team. The role is in person Sharp Electronics Headquarters in Montvale NJ, with required in-person collaboration 2-3 times per week. Interns will contribute to real-world automation projects, gaining exposure to cross-functional collaboration, product management, and the application of AI in business workflows.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree program in Computer Science or related field.
  • Coursework or hands-on experience in AI, machine learning, or process automation is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Interest or experience in project management, AI applications, and software solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Programming experience with AI-related projects (academic or personal).
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills.
  • The role is in person Sharp Electronics Headquarters in Montvale NJ.
  • With required in-person collaboration 2-3 times per week.
  • Local candidates in the NY/NJ/CT area strongly preferred.
  • Transportation and mileage reimbursement are not provided.
  • The hourly rate is $18/hr .
  • This is a Winter 2025 - Spring 2026 semester internship.
  • It is a mandatory requirement that the intern's attendance is to be in the office in Montvale, NJ up to 2-3 days a week.
  • The days available to work during the week are Monday to Thursday.
  • Since the office location in Montvale, NJ is not accessible by public transportation, interns must have reliable transportation and live locally to our campus in Montvale, NJ.
  • We do not provide housing or a housing stipend for interns .
  • Unfortunately, we do not offer work visa sponsorship for this role, including participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Project Management team to identify processes that can be optimized through AI-driven automation.
  • Research, design, and prototype automation solutions.
  • Present findings and provide weekly updates.
  • Learn from and collaborate with Product Managers to understand how solutions are developed and brought to market.
  • Work under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to safeguard confidential business information.
  • This internship requires in-office work 2-3 times a week.
