About The Position

Nabors is seeking summer intern for their AI - Center of Excellence team. The AI - Center of Excellence team create solutions using advanced Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, statistical analysis, data mining, and visual techniques in a technology driven environment. The intern will apply their data mining and statistical algorithms skills to help drive key business metrics. Requirements

Pursuing final year of university studies towards bachelor’s degree or recent graduate or seeking Masters/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related coursework
Basic understanding of the following from previous work/classes/research and/or relevant pervious jobs/internships: data models and reporting packages analyze large datasets write comprehensive reports
Verbal and written communication skills
An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
Attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with any Cloud Service like Azure, experience with cloud deployments is a plus
Experience with Python and C++., working in Linux-based environments, Git, and ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow), Optimization frameworks (ONNX, TensorRT)
Experience with Docker and CI/CD tools
Ability to work in groups/teams
An appreciation of commitment to safety leadership.

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to multitask and work well independently and in a team environment.
Ability to generate research ideas.
Ability to draft technical reports of projects.
MS Office computer skills (Access, Aspen/HYSYS a plus).

Responsibilities

Collecting, research and interpret data
Design and develop AI-powered agents using LLMs, LangChain, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business
Identifying patterns and trends in data sets
Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs
Understanding of statistics and hypothesis testing (ex. Confidence Interval, Regressions, Time Series, Clustering, Factor Analysis)
Use predictive modeling and machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems
Develop and maintain forecasting models and tools using frameworks such as Pytorch
Demonstrate illustrations and visualizations of data communicating results of business impact
Document completed work so others can understand and implement
Able to analyze data and understand relationships and correlations
