About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Business Operations Manager to drive execution across complex, cross-functional initiatives at the intersection of business operations, engineering, and automation. This role is responsible for improving how the organization runs by designing scalable processes, enabling AI-powered workflows, and partnering closely with Engineering to build and deploy automations that eliminate manual work and increase operational leverage. The ideal candidate combines strong program management instincts with technical fluency, systems thinking, and a bias toward automation.

Requirements

  • ~5+ years of experience in business operations, program management, technical program management, or a related role with 1+ years focus on AI automation
  • Strong familiarity with software development processes and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • Proven experience leading complex initiatives from concept through execution, including planning, prioritization, and resource coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with engineers and understand technical tradeoffs without needing to write production code
  • Experience designing or supporting automation initiatives, systems integrations, or AI-enabled workflows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences
  • A self-starter mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity and solving previously undefined problems
  • Highly collaborative, feedback-driven, and solutions-oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of programming concepts, databases, APIs, and system architecture is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute high-impact operational programs that align business goals with engineering delivery, ensuring outcomes meet quality, performance, and reliability standards
  • Partner closely with Engineering to identify, design, and implement automations that improve internal workflows, data flows, and operational efficiency
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements for automation, AI tools, and systems integrations
  • Lead cross-functional planning, execution, and reporting across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Leadership
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and manual processes, then drive solutions through process redesign, automation, or AI-enabled tooling
  • Establish metrics and dashboards to measure operational performance, automation impact, and ROI
  • Proactively identify risks and dependencies across programs, implementing mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track
  • Drive continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned, standardizing best practices, and scaling what works
  • Act as a connective layer between engineering leadership and business teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and accountability
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring workflows across business and technical operations
  • Partner with Engineering to build, test, and deploy automations using internal tools, APIs, data pipelines, and AI models
  • Help evaluate and implement AI tools (e.g., LLM-based and agentic workflows, intelligent routing, decision support systems) to improve speed and accuracy of operations
  • Define success metrics for automations and continuously optimize based on performance and adoption
  • Ensure automations are documented, maintainable, and aligned with long-term system architecture
