The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is currently seeking a business engagement manager for a full-time position on the IT Business Engagement team. The position reports to the Director of IT Business Engagement within the Information Technology Services (ITS) division. This position will perform highly advanced (senior-level) business and systems analysis; serve as an advocate for business stakeholders for IT solutions. While the position will support development of IT solutions, a primary focus will be development, implementation and support of an Artifiical Intelligence program. The position will also conduct research related to agency program technology needs; coordinate the gathering, development, and documentation of business cases and technology requirements; support the identification and evaluation of AI-driven solutions; and support peer business analysts with emerging technology requests. Additionally, this position will participate in legislative analysis related to technology initiatives affecting program areas. The position will train others, assign and monitor work of Business Analysts, and engage in other duties as assigned. The mission of DFPS is to protect children, the elderly, and people with disabilities from abuse, neglect, and exploitation by involving clients, families, and communities.
