We are currently seeking an Internal Auditor to contribute to the fulfillment of the Team's mission in promoting efficient and effective operations across the Agency. An ideal candidate will be a "people person" coupled with strong skills in business process analytics, root cause and risk analysis. This is a hybrid position. The duty station is the Waterbury State Office Complex (WSOC) for 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) and remote/at home 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or business-related field.
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or business-related field AND two (2) years of experience in auditing, process improvement or business administration.
  • Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
