About The Position

Our client is a financial institution providing the United States with a safe, flexible, and stable monetary system. They are seeking an Agile Coach. In this role you will provide Agile coaching services to improve team effectiveness, support program-level planning events, enhance strategic alignment, and enable delivery of cloud-based ERP solutions, while working across multiple product development teams to drive collaboration, continuous improvement, and Agile maturity within the client's program. This role is remote with occasional travel to the client location in Washington, DC. Per our client contract, candidates must be US Citizens.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science/Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related/equivalent field
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience across one or more IT disciplines, including software design/development, IT architecture, technology or product ownership/management, and quality assurance
  • At least 1 year of experience serving as a Program-Level Agile Coach supporting large-scale programs and/or Agile Release Trains with multiple Agile/Product Development teams
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Team-Level Agile Coach, including establishing and maturing Agile/Product Development teams
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Scrum-focused role (Scrum Master), Product Owner capacity, or a leadership position within Agile/Product Development teams
  • Proven experience coaching and guiding Agile/Product Development teams through transformation into DevOps teams, including implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automation/continuous testing practices
  • Possession of at least one of the following certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced Certified Scrum Master (ACSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Experience working with ServiceNow ITSM (IT Service Management), Platform Analytics, and Agile development tools/platforms
  • Proven ability to facilitate Big Room Planning and Program Increment (PI) Planning events for Agile Release Trains
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles and practices
  • Experience creating and executing strategic roadmaps to support Agile program initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams on continuous improvement practices, including retrospectives and iterative delivery
  • Advanced facilitation skills, with experience leading Scrum of Scrums, Product Owner Syncs, and Inspect and Adapt workshops
  • Experience supporting digital transformation efforts, including work with cloud-based ERP systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and manage stakeholders at all levels of an organization

Responsibilities

  • Agile Coaching & Transformation: Stand up new Agile teams and deliver hands-on, ongoing coaching to both teams and stakeholders, while guiding existing teams in adopting and enhancing Agile practices
  • Big Room Planning Facilitation: Plan, organize, and lead Program Increment (PI) Planning events, including sprint and iteration planning, as well as team alignment sessions
  • Strategic Planning Support: Partner with program leadership to create strategic roadmaps, prioritize key initiatives, and ensure team objectives are aligned with broader business goals
  • Team Effectiveness & Process Improvement: Continuously assess Agile program performance and recommend process improvements to strengthen team effectiveness and delivery outcomes
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to close Agile knowledge gaps and drive overall program success
  • Training & Knowledge Transfer: Deliver and adapt training as needed to build Agile maturity across the RAPID program, while developing standard operating procedures to support knowledge sharing
  • DevOps Enablement: Mentor teams in adopting DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD practices and automation strategies
  • Reporting & Assessment: Provide ongoing evaluations of team maturity and program health, offering actionable recommendations and partnering with teams to implement continuous improvements
