About The Position

Preferred Professional Services (PPS) is an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, a network of over 40 short-term rehabilitation and long-term care centers across the Northeast. The organization is currently seeking an Agency Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) for per diem shifts in their Long-Term Care and Rehab Facilities. In this leadership role, the Assistant Director of Nursing will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing to establish and achieve clinical program objectives, enhancing care standards, resident well-being, and the facility's culture. The position involves facilitating the care delivery model and managing daily clinical operations, including compliance, care coordination, and ensuring patient and family satisfaction. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, this role assumes all responsibilities of the Director. Requirements

  • Valid state RN nursing license
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and excellence in healthcare delivery

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or certification preferred
  • Experience in a nursing leadership role in a Long-Term Care or similar healthcare setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Director of Nursing to set and achieve clinical program objectives aligned with our mission
  • Contribute to the enhancement of our care standards, resident well-being and the culture of our facility
  • Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model
  • Responsible for the daily clinical operations of the center including compliance, coordination of care and ensuring patient and family satisfaction
  • Assume all responsibilities and duties of the Director position in the absence of the Director of Nursing
  • Oversee nursing operations, including staffing, training, and quality assurance
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of nurses and healthcare professionals
  • Support the development and implementation of care plans and protocols
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize resident care
  • Serve as operational liaison between the nursing units and the Director of Nursing
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional care to our residents
  • Participate in quality assurance monitoring and ensure compliance to regulatory standards
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in nursing care
