At RTX, the world largest aerospace and defense company, 185,000 great minds are united by purpose and inspired to make a difference solving the world’s most complex problems. With our three market leading businesses, world-class operations and investments in research and development, we offer capabilities and opportunity no one else can. Together, we push the boundaries of known science and find new ways to connect and protect our world. Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems and has been revolutionizing modern flight for over 100 years. Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. The F135 Engine Design and System Integration (EDSI) organization is seeking a Sub-System Integration Product Team (SSIPT) Lead for Forecasting to ensure engineering concerns are represented in long range forecasts. In this role, the candidate will work across the engineering and sustainment organizations to understand technical issues that impact depot inductions and hardware retirement. The lead will coordinate EDSI, CIPT and Sustainment organizations acting as the conduit to the forecasting FLOSIM tool, ensuring FLOSIM outputs are modeled correctly, and support investigations. Develop and coordinate the implementation strategy to evolve the F135 induction forecast to be condition based. This role requires integration with Control and Diagnostics Systems, Internal component groups (CIPTs), PW Sustainment organizations, and the Joint Program Office. Provide SSIPT leadership ensuring forecasts are well documented, defendable, data driven, and encompass anticipated hardware attrition and removals due to MVR/SRA and other conditions that drive modules off-wing. Coordinate between engineering stakeholders that own the inputs for the biannual forecast (CMAS, EIPS, etc.). Support Event Data Analysis Team (EDAT). Understand causation of removal drivers and active/planned engineering activities that will address the root cause in whole or in part. In addition, providing removal data to CIPTs/CAIPTs in order to drive action to address emerging removal trends. Develop strategy to incorporate the Usage Based Lifing (UBL) engine management philosophy into FLOSIM Forecasting. Understand data integrity, and representative populations used in studies to support lifecycle cost with UBL. Provide fleet data analytic support for various studies. Provide Sustainment Integration Support for engineering technical concerns. Integrate with PSA/CDS/Sustainment and other stakeholders in depot induction work-scope planning. Support program and engineering objectives/studies related to integrating ECU program into the lifecycle forecast.
