Pratt & Whitney is looking for a self-motivated engineer for a challenging Integrated Project Team Lead position as the point of contact for the Military Exhaust team in support of the Hot Section Engineering Support to Operations Team (ESTO). What You Will Do: Demands coordinated communication and strengthened working relationships within the Hot Section Engineering (HSE) part families to ensure that component hardware deliveries are met. Direct interfacing opportunities with engineering management, program management, shop floor, and suppliers. Develop task execution plans and oversee day-to-day activities for producibility improvement tasks, QN, Stop Delivery Order (SDO), and Class 2 Engineering Change activities that are crucial to the success of the organization. Communicate effectively and make tough decisions using data-driven methods. Travel Requirement: 10% ( Domestic and International) Project responsibilities will include: Identify and execute producibility and process improvement tasks across hardware part families Drive internal and external process or hardware producibility improvements to completion. Drive team to meet control tower metrics and maintain actuals vs metrics. Create deviation QNs and Class 2 Engineering Changes only after capability studies indicate requirements should be revised. Manage and execute SDO and drop-in tasks. Maintain all budget and charge numbers. Challenge our processes to become more efficient and more effective. Develop and execute the outsource strategy to enable Reactive and Proactive work. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Department/Segment Overview : Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) : ESTO provides dedicated support by eliminating quality notifications, escapes, works stops and enabling producibility and delivery of legacy and new parts, assemblies, modules, and engines. ESTO covers all engine programs and part families, enabling engine deliveries, first piece reviews, first article inspections, analysis automation, process certification. ESTO also supports the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) initiative in Operations. Technical disciplines in ESTO include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, and Manufacturing Engineering.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant engineering experience, or an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
