About The Position
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School is seeking dependable, attentive, and caring individuals to serve as Aftercare Workers. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, structured, and positive environment for students during the after school program.
Requirements
- Must enjoy working with children and demonstrate patience and awareness
- Prior childcare or youth supervision experience preferred
- Must pass a background check
- Must complete Virtus Training (provided if needed)
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and supportive demeanor
Responsibilities
- Supervise students in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Ensure student safety and adherence to school expectations
- Assist with homework time when applicable
- Facilitate games, activities, and student engagement
- Manage daily transitions including snack, restroom, dismissal, and pickup
- Respond appropriately to student needs and minor incidents
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of aftercare areas
- Communicate important information to the Aftercare Director
- Release students only to authorized adults
