About The Position

St. Francis Xavier Catholic School is seeking a Part-time After School Assistant
to work for the Director of the After-School Program. This part-time position
requires 16 hours per week in the afternoon. As an aftercare assistant, you will
assist in the supervision of students in all grade levels in the school's
aftercare program.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Previous childcare experience preferred.
• Maintain a calm nature in a sometimes-chaotic environment.
• State of Florida law requires fingerprinting and clearance through the Florida DOE Background Screening Clearinghouse for all school-based positions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during all after-school activities.
• Communicate with parents regarding activities/interactions with students.
• Works with various age/grade groups.
• Aids students with homework.
• Implements age-appropriate activities.
• Monitors safety for students always.
• Maintains discipline and decorum.
• Maintains a clean and organized classroom.
