About The Position

The Aftercare Assistant at Paragon Prep is a vital position designed for individuals passionate about child development and dedicated to enriching the after-school experience of young learners. This part-time role (20 hours per week) involves supervising students in the aftercare program, facilitating various activities including homework help, creative arts, and indoor/outdoor play, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment beyond school hours.

Requirements

Able to work everyday Monday-Friday from 2-6pm.
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
The ability to pass state and federal background checks.
A positive, energetic, and patient demeanor with strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Assist students with homework and educational activities, providing guidance and supervision.
Plan and execute engaging after-school activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor play.
Collaborate with the school team to enhance the student experience and foster a positive learning environment.
