About The Position

Are you looking to make a positive impact in children's lives? We are seeking a full time Program Manager to coordinate after and before school chess clubs, camps, and teaching staff in Howard, Baltimore, Anne Arundel, and Carroll Counties. Silver Knights Chess has taught chess to over 150,000 children over the last 19+ years. We offer in-person clubs, camps, and tournaments in Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland, as well as an online Academy with players from all 50 states and 30+ countries. You are highly detail-oriented possessing strong administrative skills You enjoy working with children Love the feeling of crossing items off your "to-do" list You are a self starter who can prioritize your work and complete tasks in a timely, efficient manner You appreciate a friendly work environment This Job Is... Administrative work. You will be the point person to email, call, and meet with schools or PTAs. You'll coordinate the associated marketing and registration. You'll ensure high quality in your chess programs on a daily basis by reviewing club notes and other associated duties. Data entry, proficiency, organization, and attention to detail are especially important to this position. Employee Management. You'll manage, schedule, mentor, visit, and evaluate a team of between 30 to 40 part-time chess coaches and aides. Customer Service. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining positive relationships to all types of customers -- individual parents, schools & PTAs, and more. You'll visit chess clubs to monitor program quality and maintain positive relationships with site representatives.
