About The Position

Coordinates, facilitates and implement projects as assigned that produce desired business outcomes and serves as a liaison with cross-functional areas (Information Technology, Compliance, Actuarial, Research and Development). Communicate with business and third-party vendors to share project outcomes, demonstrate system functionality, and facilitate the exchange of information. Create requirements based upon defined business rules, process redesign to improve efficiencies, and problem-solving; and recommending system enhancements, and providing requested information to internal and external customers so that functional area and corporate goals are met, and systems and compliance changes are accurately implemented. Develop test plans and conduct testing for defects, enhancements, regression, integrations, and end-to-end functionality to support business implementation and transformation objectives to ensure quality, efficiency, and competitive advantage. Provide technical services, support, and expertise for the most complex and core systems to ensure administrative systems are designed, tested, configured and maintained. These systems may include policy administration, workflow management, financial monitoring, electronic enrollment, public and secure website. Monitor results to ensure continuous improvements are maintained and benefits are sustainable over the long term. Apply Lean process improvement methodologies to identify and lead initiatives related to the analysis and improvement of existing business processes. Facilitate Lean techniques such as Value Stream Mapping, Project Selection and Chartering, Measurement, 5S, Kaizen. Determine the financial benefits of the organization’s Lean initiatives by documenting process metric improvements. Research, gather, mine and analyze data and develop data driven dashboards. Develop, approve, and maintain technical and operations procedures to standardize processes.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of specialized experience in the processing system assigned such as claims, policy admin, etc.
  • Proficiency with PC Windows based software and Microsoft office applications
  • Easily adapts to new software technology applications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with web based and imaging software

  • Bachelor's Degree from four year college or university
  • 5 years up to 7 years
  • Equivalent Technical/Business experience accepted in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience in Project Management preferred (project life cycle, methodology and practices)
  • Previous experience in Process Improvement preferred (Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, A3, business process mapping, technical writing)
  • Previous experience in Software Quality Assurance preferred (end-to-end testing, regression, integrations)
  • Previous experience in Business and Data Analysis preferred
  • Previous experience in Automation (RPA) preferred
  • Prefer basic product knowledge of insurance
