About The Position

Premier Property Management is a leading provider of affordable housing solutions committed to ensuring that everyone has access to safe, secure, and comfortable housing. We specialize in developing, managing, and maintaining affordable housing communities across the US, striving to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in need. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our properties remain in compliance with all applicable affordable housing regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in affordable housing compliance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8 and/or PHA, and other affordable housing programs and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of resident files to ensure compliance with affordable housing program requirements, including LIHTC, HUD, Section 8 and/or PHA, along and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor income certifications, lease agreements, and recertification processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to property management teams regarding affordable housing program regulations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to address compliance-related issues and inquiries.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Stay informed about changes in affordable housing regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Assist with training initiatives to ensure that property management staff members understand and adhere to compliance requirements.
