Benchmark Human Services has grown to be a respected leader in intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health, working with people of all ages at home, at work, and in the community through various programs including residential, employment, crisis response, and early intervention. The Idaho Mobile Crisis program is specifically seeking bachelor's level clinicians to provide crisis stabilization services, support individuals in crisis, and assist in facilitating referrals to ongoing services, supports, and community resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a mental-health related field from an accredited institution
  • Certification and ongoing training in crisis intervention curriculum.
  • Two-years-post-bachelors professional experience; or a bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited institution plus three-years full-time equivalent professional experience in the mental health field.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be experienced and competent in profession and maintain any applicable license, training and/or certifications
  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness, emotional disorders, and substance- related disorders who are experiencing emotional or behavioral crisis.

Responsibilities

  • Work with diverse members of the community in a wide range of situations and locations.
  • Be willing to work a flexible schedule to provide services, supports, care and treatment to individuals as required.
  • Respond immediately when dispatched and be alert, engaged and empathetic to all those encountered.
  • Complete crisis assessments, including Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (CSSRS) and other clinical documentation as indicated.
  • Answer 100% of crisis dispatches and respond face-to-face to all crisis calls within an average of 60 minutes for urban location or 90 minutes for rural locations.
  • Assess safety of individuals and others in crisis.
  • Develop crisis safety plans and assist in facilitating linkages to the appropriate level of care.
  • Follow up with individual’s ongoing provider as appropriate to ensure the individual adheres to the crisis service recommended support and services.
  • Facilitate referrals quickly to prevent escalation of crisis.
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction surveys are given to individuals contacted by the MCTs.
  • Complete necessary documentation, in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, to meet all regulatory requirements and facilitate reimbursement through primary funding sources.
  • Provide crisis follow-up services within 72 hours of crisis disposition for individuals served, as well as any other individual for whom it is clinically appropriate.
  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.
