About The Position

PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS: Perform a wide range of technical tasks to include using standard mechanical and electrical hand tools, mechanical disassembly/assembly, wiring, soldering, fiber optic splicing, operating standard and unique test equipment, repairing aerostat fabric and handling high-pressure gases such as Helium and Nitrogen. Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical structures, aerostat structures, hydraulic systems, fiber optic components, avionics and electrical components Maintain, troubleshoot and repair ground systems such as generators, communication and weather systems. Flight Crew Member (pre/post flight, launch/recovery, helium toppings, snubbing, inflations/ deflations, tether inspections, proficiency in all emergency procedures for both moored and airborne flight aerostat operations) Read and understand schematics, technical drawings and engineering data and reports Maintain and understand site documentation such as parts request forms, equipment condition tags, timecards, and flight data and maintenance logs Calibrate all site and test equipment as required Operate general purpose and special purpose vehicles to include man lift operations to heights of 150 feet Execute test steps and collect results. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of formal technical training (via military or civilian technical schools) is required. Associate and Bachelor of Science degree in any technical discipline can be substituted for Education Requirement
  • Electrical Maintenance with qualification at the 10 and 20 series or greater level from Army MOS or other military branch equivalent or industry occupational specialties.
  • IT with qualifications at the 10 or 20 series or greater level from Army MOS or other military branch equivalent or industry occupational specialties as a Network Installation or CISCO Network Administrator.
  • Mechanical Maintenance with qualifications at the 10 or 20 series or greater level from Army MOS or other military branch equivalent or industry occupational specialties as a National Institute for ASE Certified Truck Mechanic or FAA General Mechanic 1 or greater.
  • Prior Aerostat Operator experience of 34 meter size Aerostat is required for most levels. Must qualify as an Aerostat Operator and remain current for continued employment regardless of experience level.
  • Mechanical and Electrical experience (Aerostat specific preferred, but not disqualifying)
  • Already have, or have recently had an Active DoD clearance and be able to sustain
  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts. (Days/Nights/Weekends) to support Operational Tempo. TEAM CONCEPT
  • Passport with more than one year remaining before expiration
  • Pass MOD-18 medical deployment requirements (if applicable depending on location)
  • 34M Experience required for level 3, and 4, aerostat experience for level 2 any size as long as that experience involved launch and recovery
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance for continued employment.
  • Absence of a security clearance at time of application is not grounds for disqualification.
  • Must be willing to relocate to the area where operations are occurring, and while rare, temporary assignment to other locations is possible.

  • Already have, or have recently had an Active DoD clearance and be able to sustain it.
