About The Position

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in seeking a full-time Subsystem Installation Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Fort Worth, Texas. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft equipment and systems installation design problems. Responsibilities for this position may include: - Design the installation of aircraft Equipment for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and associated hardware; Design aircraft tubes and harness assemblies for Fuel, Hydraulic, Environmental Control Systems, and Electrical Systems; Design installation of aircraft Fluid and Electrical routing and associated bracketry - Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives - optimizing form, fit, and function of the equipment installations - Define, develop, and finalize equipment layouts and systems and harness interfaces - Create Build-to-Packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations - Coordinate with other technical disciplines for optimized integration at the aircraft level (producibility, maintainability, tooling, interchangeability, materials & processes, stress, etc.) The successful candidate will have experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
  • Experience creating and/or modifying drawings
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • this position will require a government security clearance
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with aircraft equipment installation design and troubleshooting
  • Experience with aircraft fluid or electrical installation design and troubleshooting
  • Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5
