Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical
  • Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
  • Experience creating and/or modifying drawings
  • Experience with aircraft subsystem design, installation, and troubleshooting
  • Hands on engineering experience
  • Ability to to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hand analysis for initial part layout
  • Experience with metallic design
  • Experience with tubing and equipment installation
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 3 years of professional experience; or 1 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and validate new and modified subsystem designs
  • Troubleshoot system malfunctions to determine root cause and corrective action
  • Create and maintain 3-D CATIA models, assemblies and installations, system requirements, interface/supplier control drawings, performance specifications, system checkout procedures and statements of work
  • Create system requirements, trade studies, sub-component and flight test plans
  • Coordinate with suppliers, internal and external integrated product teams, management and the customer
  • Support manufacturing, ground/flight test and customer operating locations
