About The Position

An exciting opportunity for an Aeroengine Repair Technician for Civil Aviation has arisen in our Montreal facility. Join our 6-person team of Repair Technicians within our larger Mechanical Engineering department. The Aeroengine Repair Technician is responsible for creating and writing repair plannings in line with aircraft manuals as well as evaluating and reporting non-confirming parts. Requirements

  • Degree or DEC in aeronautics, or aircraft maintenance
  • Thorough understanding of repair, modification and processing techniques required to overhaul and maintain aero engine parts
  • Bilingual: French and English
  • Must be Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Excellent technical writing abilities
  • Customer focused.
  • Team player that can interact with members of various internal functions for effective decision making

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical Engineering degree desirable
  • Knowledge of SAP software is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word suite

Responsibilities

  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of method planning documents for the purpose of modification, repair, inspection, and conforming engine components, including the SAP operation sequencing.
  • Evaluate and action operational queries following the specification of OEM manuals within the agreed SLAs.
  • Prepare work instructions and assist manufacturing engineers during repair planning change and control.
  • Supports Business Improvement activities.
  • Supports external sales by creating all the documentation required to induct and repair components.
  • Is pro-active in the continual review of processes to deliver improvements to the business and to the Customer.
  • May be subject to modified working hours (2nd shift).
