As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment to ensure reliable and affordable energy. The Mechanical Assistant will support all Mechanical Maintenance activities as directed by Senior Mechanical or Maintenance/Supervisor staff, focusing on clients’ installations, maintenance, upgrades, inspections, and ongoing operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma preferred AND 1 year of “hands-on” experience maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment
  • Experience in industrial outage maintenance desired
  • English proficiency required

Nice To Haves

  • Basic level capabilities and responsibilities, with +3 year of relevant experience
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and experience utilizing hand held and power tools including and mechanical troubleshooting equipment.
  • Experience in a hands-on mechanical position in an industrial environment highly desired.
  • Must have strong mechanical/technical skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • In-depth safety training a major plus
  • Must have valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Possess knowledge about specific activity tools and be able to use them safely.
  • Ability to work unsupervised on any part of an equipment maintenance project.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Ability to align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs
  • Experience dismantling machinery or equipment
  • Should have experience with repair and or rebuild of large industrial equipment.
  • Ability to move machinery and equipment
  • Assembly and installation of equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
