About The Position

CTG’s long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to support the design, installation, and startup of advanced manufacturing equipment. This is a hands-on, senior-level role ideal for engineers with strong mechanical design and troubleshooting expertise in industrial environments.

Requirements

• 7+ years of mechanical equipment design experience in manufacturing environments
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
• Experience with structural FEA analysis
• Proven ability to design, install, and debug complex mechanical systems
• Hands-on experience supporting equipment commissioning and startup
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and machine guarding
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently and develop effective engineering solutions
• Experience managing or coordinating with mechanical and electrical trades

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of handling and process equipment from concept through deployment
• Support installation, startup, and debugging of manufacturing equipment on-site
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, controls, operations)
• Verify equipment builds against engineering drawings and specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and installation issues in real time
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure successful equipment delivery and setup
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA and machine guarding
