We’re currently searching for an Advocacy Coordinator to join our Dean of Students and CARES Program team in Blacksburg, VA, to help us in our mission. HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE: 1) You’ll be joining the Dean of Students team in the CARES program (Campus Advocacy, Resources, and Education for Survivors), a department committed to providing support and advocacy services to students, faculty, and staff. 2) You’ll be reporting to an Assistant Dean for CARES, in a Regular twelve-month, 100% administrative professional appointment. 3) You’ll serve as a confidential resource to students, faculty, and staff who have been impacted by interpersonal violence such as sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, harassment, and many other forms of violence. 4) You'll provide advocacy and support services to students, faculty, and staff, and assist with CARES Program outreach and educational efforts. 5) You’ll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division. 6) You’ll be offered a base compensation package between $55,000-$60,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!
