About The Position

The Management Consulting (MC) Intern utilizes their educational background and organizational skills to assist the MC practice in one of its segments - Healthcare Consulting, Operational Excellence, Transformation & Technology, Sourcing & Supply Chain, Strategy & Innovation, People Strategy & Solutions, Turnaround & Restructuring, or Human Capital Management. It is anticipated that the Intern will be primarily focused on one segment of the practice. The MC intern will be part of a team focused on serving the firm's client base with experienced colleagues who will provide direction, coaching and learning opportunities.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, required; with a focus in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Communications, Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Health Sciences, or other relevant field of study, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business / report writing
  • Ability to work effectively within a team setting
  • Strong analytical and basic research skills
  • Solid organizational skills, and ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Able to work in a deadline-driven environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel based on client and practice needs

Nice To Haves

  • Project delivery experience, preferred
  • Leadership experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists with informational interviews and facilitation of meetings with clients during engagement process
  • Assists in documentation of project requirements and business processes
  • Assists in development of initial deliverables and/or solutions to client issues
  • Takes minutes during meetings, and produces a meeting summary to present to clients
  • Leverages templates to prepare drafts of various reports, presentations and documentation
  • Utilizes research tools, databases and trade publications to develop an understanding of a client's industry
  • Assists with research for and drafting of proposals
  • Assists with documentation and work papers associated with client engagements
  • Other duties, as required
