About The Position

The Advisor, Sales Planning and Integration, plays a critical role in executing MBUSA's sales planning processes across the entire Mercedes-Benz portfolio in the United States. This position coordinates monthly, annual, and long-term planning activities to drive alignment between production, wholesale, retail, and inventory strategies to optimize sales performance and maintain healthy stock levels. Beyond technical planning, the advisor is expected to analyze retail pace and run rates to steer strategic volume decisions and identify opportunities for growth. The role also leads the preparation and facilitation of integration meetings that align cross-functional teams on future sales plans, driving consensus on key measures and actions to support business objectives. Key planning responsibilities include monthly Kufri planning, annual MBBP forecasting (two-year outlook), and strategic five-year model-level planning. Management briefings and storytelling is an essential part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (accredited university) in: o Business Administration/Management o Economics/Finance o Marketing/Statistics o International Business
  • 5+ years of professional experience in sales planning, forecasting, or business analytics (automotive industry experience strongly preferred). Project management experience is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, modeling, KPI tracking, scenario analysis).
  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI (dashboard creation, data visualization, and performance monitoring).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in scenario modeling and forecasting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate complex findings clearly to stakeholders to drive solution finding process.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable with a problem-solving mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with market research or business development consulting to support portfolio and channel strategy discussions a plus.
  • Bilingual in German and English is a plus
  • Advanced analytical and scenario-planning skills and data literacy.
  • High proficiency in Excel and Power BI as core planning and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

  • Execution of monthly Kufri planning by aligning production programs, wholesale, retail, and stock planning across all models in the MBUSA portfolio (including AMG, Maybach and G Class).
  • Actively steers the preparation of annual MBBP (two-year) forecasts and strategic five-year sales planning for the U.S. market.
  • Conduct scenario analyses and “what-if” modeling to evaluate planning options, identify risks, and support adjustments.
  • Organization and coordination of sales strategy initiatives aligning cross-functional teams on future sales offensives.
  • Monitor and analyze competitive market developments and translate insights into actionable planning adjustments.
  • Provide input on portfolio optimization and channel strategy to support long-term competitiveness and market alignment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HQ Market Management, MBUSA Product Management, Allocation, Sales Steering and Logistics to ensure alignment and integration of planning activities.
  • Maintain planning documentation, methodologies, and assumptions to ensure consistency and transparency throughout the planning cycle.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance sales planning efficiency and accuracy.
