About The Position

SUMMARY: Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and expansion of an overall Advertising Plan to create a positive Company image and motivate travel to the property. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Performs excellent customer service at all time. Manages company in-house advertising agency. Oversees management of advertising campaigns and promotions, production of signage, collateral materials, video and photography products and customer response programs. Plans and buys TV, radio, print, out of home, direct mail, online display advertising paid search advertising, social media, and other innovative, cutting-edge media opportunities, strategic partnerships, and cross promotions. Develops and executes traditional and digital/news media strategies and tactics, including paid and earned media. Confers with officials of newspapers, radio, television stations, billboard advertisers and any advertising agencies to negotiate advertising contracts. Creates unique and innovative partnerships and/or cross-promotional campaigns between CGRC and media partners. Reviews as well as approves television radio advertisements before release. Directs research activities concerned with gathering information or with compilation of statistics pertinent to planning and execution of advertising sales promotion campaigns. Manages the allocation of advertising dollars. Maintains Advertising budget and ensures maximum utilization of budget. Tracks invoices and reconciles invoices, processes Blanket Purchase Orders (BPO) and Purchase Orders (PO). Performs post-buy analyses/reporting, and provides monthly progress reports. Supervises and evaluates any outside advertising agency who is provided work to ensure the appropriate execution and media planning for project. Works closely with other Marketing staff to advertise marketing activities. Manages the Advertising Department’s projects, jobs and work load. Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures. Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record. Ushers for events as needed by management. Performs any reasonable request made by management. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

  • BA in Advertising, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience in advertising, promotions, or marketing performing similar duties preferred.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
