About The Position

The Quality Control Specialist ensures product and process quality with a focus on PE Advanced Quality, managing 4M and engineering changes, resolving issues through root cause analysis, and verifying corrective action effectiveness while ensuring compliance with automotive standards. This role will work for MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC. (MNAe).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to analyze quality data and verify effectiveness of corrective actions

  • Experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on quality control and assurance
  • Knowledge of PE Advanced Quality, including supplier quality and new model quality processes

  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations, including ISO/TS 16949 and IATF 16949
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred
  • Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) certification preferred
  • Quality-related certifications (e.g., CQE – Certified Quality Engineer) preferred
  • Internal or Lead Auditor certification for IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 preferred
  • VDA 6.3 Process Auditor certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality management activities with a primary focus on supplier part quality and new model quality readiness.
  • Investigate and analyze defects originating from suppliers, new model launches, and internal processes, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for supplier-related and new model quality issues, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Verify and validate the effectiveness of supplier corrective actions through data analysis, audits, and follow-up activities to ensure recurrence prevention.
  • Manage and control 4M (Man, Machine, Material, Method) changes and Engineering Changes (EO/ECN), ensuring proper risk assessment, approval, and implementation.
  • Support new model development and launch activities, ensuring quality requirements are defined, validated, and achieved.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards for incoming parts and new product introduction (NPI) processes.
  • Monitor and report quality performance (daily/weekly/monthly), with emphasis on supplier PPM, incoming quality, and new model quality KPIs.
  • Manage and maintain quality documentation, including supplier inspection standards, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and change management records.
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers, engineering, and production teams to ensure part quality and stable launches.
  • Lead supplier quality improvement activities, including supplier audits, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
  • Train internal teams and suppliers on quality standards, processes, and expectations.
  • Promote and comply with workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
