POSITION SUMMARY The responsibilities of this position are to monitor, maintain and to assist in the scheduling of new products, kit components, antibodies, proteins, enzyme, flow, and other high complex products. Check, schedule, and update product to bottle listed on the backordered pages in ICA and AX. Review and approve batch records for release, address product availability inquires, maintain metrics, and assist with AX job management. This position will require collaboration on product design, MRBs, projects and planning meetings. Update SOPs and manage some supply ordering. Assist with annual inventory and cost savings/process improvement goal. Perform additional duties as assigned and assist supervisor as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (AA degree plus APICS certification with a minimum of 3+ years of related experience or a master’s degree).
  • Team oriented person that can work collaboratively
  • Attention to detail and good organization skills required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience working in an ERP environment required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and computer entry and/or typing skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, workflow, and capacity levels
  • Knowledge of products and product lines
  • Knowledge of appropriate calculations and how to perform calculation for bottling purposes.
  • Knowledge of safety and company procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of inventory control and inventory management
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment
  • Knowledge of inventory system and lot numbering system.
  • Skills in utilizing different product databases
  • Skills in assisting internal departments in a professional manner

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule fills for new products, enzymes, kit components (including new bulk lots of existing items) utilizing multiple databases and Microsoft Dynamics AX. Schedule to meet filling, capping and labeling capacities while prioritizing backordered and critical products.
  • Monitor, schedule and update the backorder pages in ICA and AX
  • Reviewing and approval of batch records for release (including CofA review)
  • Address product availability inquires
  • Assist with the annual physical inventory process
  • Assist with AX job management, starting jobs, pulling pick list supplies, documentation and closing jobs
  • Assist in the retail bottling, capping, and labeling of retail products
  • Management, coordination, and planning of special projects, fills, relabels, etc.
  • Identify and execute initiatives for continuous process improvement and troubleshoot problems.
  • Update SOPs and order supplies as needed
  • Record and maintain metrics for the department
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues of moderate/high complexity independently.
  • Product Planning of moderate/high complexity
  • Participation and collaboration in MRBS, change plans, planning meetings, kit and product design meetings, etc.
  • Manage and order supplies, OEM and raw materials.
  • Train and mentor other planners and act as a SME for the planning team.
  • Collaborate and assist multiple departments within the organization.
  • Demonstrates EPIC values in daily work
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Handbook and follows guidelines regarding safety as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals in accordance with the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned and assist supervisor as needed.
