Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills.
  • A history of driving process improvements and supporting operational excellence.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (IFS experience is a big plus).
  • Ability to plan across a variety of product lines in a multi‑product manufacturing setting.
  • Advanced analytical abilities, including forecasting and data interpretation.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs); Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Commercial awareness and financial understanding are beneficial.
  • A passion for continuous improvement, change leadership, and cross‑functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, ensuring alignment on demand, capacity, and long‑term strategy.
  • Review and refine customer forecasts, updating ERP data and flagging opportunities or risks for the commercial team.
  • Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule to balance demand, capacity, and material availability.
  • Build and manage detailed production schedules and work orders directly in the ERP system.
  • Analyze performance data, track schedule adherence, and drive actions to close gaps between plan and actuals.
  • Troubleshoot short‑term capacity or material constraints and support mid‑range planning with the S&OE Manager.
  • Ensure inventory levels (including safety stock) are sufficient to support the manufacturing plan.
  • Lead cross‑functional planning discussions to keep teams aligned on throughput, schedule changes, and priorities.
  • Validate production standards and efficiencies to support accurate planning and reliable execution.
  • Make delivery commitments for make‑to‑order items by assessing available materials and capacity.
  • Communicate shop orders, material changes, and packaging updates clearly to the production floor.
  • Support inventory accuracy and reduction goals, including aged‑inventory reviews and risk mitigation.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve planning processes, system usage, and data quality.
