Cleveland Clinic’s Integrated Hospital Care Institute is currently seeking a qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a full-time position with Pulmonary Medicine team at Middleburg Heights, Avon Family Health Center, Fairview Hospital, and potential opportunity at multiple west region outpatient locations (Lakewood, Strongsville, and Lorain). This position is 75% outpatient/25% inpatient. The patient population will include adult pulmonary medicine patients. Some typical duties include (but are not limited to): rounding in the hospital, seeing patients independently in the outpatient pulmonary office, answering patient phone calls and messages, and coordinating patient follow-up visits. The schedule for this position is 5 days (roughly 8am-5pm) and includes some weekends and holidays. The pulmonary department APP team is nationally recognized, supports education, and research opportunities for our APRNs and PAs. We are excited to find our next team member! At least one year of APP experience is preferred. However, new graduates with relevant experience will be considered. Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs. APRN: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty nursing and/or medical care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with a physician according to a standard care arrangement and specialty certification. Provides advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions, including the delivery of acute care services. PA: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and or specialty medical care (the practice of medicine) in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions the collaboration agreement of a Physician, (as per O.R.C. 4730) performs complete histories and physicals on patients of all ages to establish and record patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan to provide continuing medical care, including daily examinations, writing orders, chart notes, discharging patients and completing discharge summaries. This medical care may be in a variety of clinical settings. PA's are privileged by the Board of Governors. PA's in this role provide advanced care to patients with in any setting in which patients require complex, acute, critical and chronic health conditions. Practice in a setting that requires complex monitoring and therapies and high intensity medical/surgical interventions and/or continuous vigilance within the range of high-acuity care.
