About The Position

Seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider Hospitalist for medical, surgical and ICU patients at Geneva Medical Center. Nurse Practitioners must have ACNP or be willing to obtain to support ICU. This is a day shift position with per diem shifts on weekends and holidays. 1 year APP experience required for PRN opportunity. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

Requirements

Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required)
(MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
1+ years APP experience required for PRN opportunity.
Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)
Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency)
Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency)
Physician Assistant (PA) (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required)
Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire)
Maintain national PA Certification (Required)
Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required)
Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required)
Current APRN License (Required)

Nice To Haves

1+ years as a Physician Assistant (Preferred)
1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
