About The Position

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Hospitalist Medicine service at UH Geneva Medical Center. This is a full time night-shift position with rotating weekends and holidays. Schedule will be 7 nights on and 7 nights off (12 hour shifts). Nurse Practitioners must have ACNP to support ICU. May occasionally support Emergency Medicine for high patient volumes. APP experience preferred and new grads will be considered for New grad THRIVE training program. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

Requirements

Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required)
(MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
Physician Assistant (PA) (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required)
Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire)
Maintain national PA Certification (Required)
Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required)
Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required)
Current APRN License (Required)
Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)
Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency)
Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

APP experience preferred
1+ years as a Physician Assistant (Preferred)
1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
