Riverside Medical Group is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Cardiology team in Williamsburg, Virginia. This outpatient-focused role supports both new and established cardiovascular patients. We are looking for an experienced provider who is interested in helping grow cardiology services in the Williamsburg market while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work closely with a collaborative team of cardiologists and APPs in a supportive clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner: Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Active Nurse Practitioner License
  • National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Physician Assistant: Master’s Degree from an accredited PA program
  • Active Physician Assistant License
  • Eligibility for Virginia medical licensure
  • Valid DEA registration
  • Commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
  • Proficient in diagnosing and managing common cardiovascular conditions
  • Familiarity with managed care and Medicare populations

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in the outpatient setting
  • Conduct new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and detailed health assessments
  • Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic testing related to cardiovascular conditions
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Prescribe and monitor medications and therapies
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, prevention, and lifestyle modifications
  • Coordinate care with referring providers and other specialties
  • Accurately document clinical encounters in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in cardiology consultations and team-based care initiatives
