Advanced Practice Provider - Behavioral Health (Per Diem/Flex)
About The Position
Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Flex/PRN Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider to join its Inpatient Behavioral Health team at Sentara Obici Hospital, a 175-bed state of the art facility with a dedicated Behavioral Health Unit. Position highlights include: Location: Suffolk, VA Scheduling by mutual agreement Perform initial assessments, monitor daily progress, and discharges Provide medication management and psychotherapy when appropriate Partner with care coordination teams, families, and patients Assess and manage crisis situations Fully integrated EHR (Epic) This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a healthcare system focused on quality, transformation, and innovation.
Requirements
- Virginia-licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Current, unrestricted DEA license
- Ability to provide quality, comprehensive, continuity of medical care in a compassionate manner with minimum supervision.
