Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) Advanced Heart Failure
About The Position
We are actively recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our expanding Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology team at Tampa General Hospital (TGH). TGH boasts a high-quality, moderate-volume heart transplant program and a well-established mechanical circulatory support program. The APP on the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology team will work closely with the on-call attending Physician. Primary responsibilities will include new patient evaluation and admission, follow-up care for admitted inpatients including ICU patients with mechanical circulatory support devices comprising durable left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella CP, 5.5, RP Flex and ECMO. Management of patients on chronic inotrope infusions as well as pre-operative and post-operative heart transplant recipients will also be required.
Requirements
- Master's degree Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- License - Issued by Florida or Compact State
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant
- Acute Care certification, Adult Gerontology Acute Care certification or Nationally Accredited Physician Assistant Board certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience as Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant, and General Cardiology experience preferred.
