The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide comprehensive clinical care for both Women's Program and General Cardiology populations. In the UVA Women's Heart Program the APP will include Women's Prevention, SCAD, and Microvascular/ANOCA clinics, as well as general cardiology services such as HTN, HLD, CAD. The APP will deliver evidence-based cardiovascular care tailored to the patient's needs, serve as a patient advocate, and function as a key member of a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in patient outcomes, education, and compassionate care. Shifts: Monday-Friday, primarily daytime hours; no weekends, holidays or call expected. Work Arrangement: Full-time, outpatient clinical role based primarily in UVA's Ambulatory Cardiology and Women's Heart clinics. Day shifts, Monday through Friday. Option for four 10-hour days. Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients, and often include face-to-face interactions with patients. May also spend some time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care and/or scientific/laboratory technologist jobs. Requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and require vocational or technical education. Works under limited supervision for routine situations. Provides assistance and/or may lead and training to lower-level employees. Problems typically are not routine and require analysis to understand. May lead daily operation activities.
