The Advanced Practice Provider Fellow (APPF) serves as a member of a collaborative health team made up of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, technicians and various support personnel. Under general physician supervision, provides quality service in a caring and professional manner, actively supporting team efforts to ensure cost effectiveness and service excellence. Fellowship opportunity available for PAs and NPs. Participate in a 12-month intense training program in Inpatient and Outpatient Neurology consisting of patient care in General Neurology, various sub-specialty clinics including Epilepsy, Headache, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuromuscular Disease, and Stroke, and elective off-service rotations in Neurosurgery, Hospitalist Service, and Pediatric Neurology, as well as a simulation lab training. The applicant must be a licensed PA or NP by the start of the fellowship. Monday-Friday No Weekend/No Holidays. Please submit Letter of interest and NP/PA School transcripts.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
  • DEA licensure
  • AHA BLS, ACLS certification

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 12-month intense training program in Inpatient and Outpatient Neurology consisting of patient care in General Neurology, various sub-specialty clinics including Epilepsy, Headache, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuromuscular Disease, and Stroke, and elective off-service rotations in Neurosurgery, Hospitalist Service, and Pediatric Neurology, as well as a simulation lab training.
