What You Will Be Doing We’re looking for a hands-on, mechanically skilled professional to design, build, and maintain tooling and equipment that supports safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to develop mechanical application solutions that improve equipment reliability, process efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. You’ll lead and execute mechanical projects from concept through completion, including design, fabrication, assembly, and testing of tooling, equipment repairs, and process upgrades. You’ll create detailed machine drawings using GD&T standards, provide technical support across manufacturing functions, and recommend cost-effective equipment and process improvements. You’ll also source mechanical components, work with vendors and contractors, and ensure projects are delivered effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent hands-on experience in tool design, fabrication, machine building, and equipment repair
  • Minimum five years of experience designing and fabricating electro-mechanical components, equipment, and or systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Broad-based experience in machining, mechanical fabrication, and mechanical applications
  • Working knowledge of GD&T standards and engineering documentation
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to support Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
  • Ability to analyze mechanical challenges and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions
  • Ability to work hands-on with manufacturing equipment and tooling
  • Willingness to travel between local facilities, vendors, and training sites as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry safety standards, and ergonomic design principles preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality
