This position requires the individual to have a permanent remote office based within a 4-hour drive or 2-hour flight to the Oxford Atlanta HQ, and the ability to travel as needed (approx. 10%). The Advanced Business Application Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, maintaining, and implementing business application solutions and related systems. This role collaborates closely with business users to understand their processes, provides support in alignment with established standards and procedures, and recommends enhancements or new standards to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness. Analyze user requirements and formulate scope, objectives, and design and build for business applications, and related systems including scripting and configuration. Assist in developing test plans, implementation/conversion plans, and functional specifications. Develop programming estimates, monitor progress against estimates and take corrective action as required. Provide user support, including analyzing and evaluating existing and proposed systems and procedures and developing changes and modifications in order to solve identified problems. Execute advanced programming/development skills, demonstrate increased business knowledge and the ability to develop applications using several different technologies. Serve as a programming and support problem resolution trainer and support for entry programmers and able to research technical programming and support problems independently. Support end users when carrying out business critical tasks such as seasonal integration and inventory movements. Shared responsibility for business critical applications (ABS and WMS) operations, scheduling and after-hours support.
