About The Position

The Center Administrator is responsible for the effective operation of the adult day health center, which is the focal point of both Community LIFE and the national model for Programs of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly. The key responsibilities and skills of the position are coordination and communication with other departments, supervision and training of day center staff, facilitating and scheduling the development of Plans of Care, and compliance with the policies, procedures, and regulations affecting Community LIFE. The Center Administrator must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan care for and provide service to frail elders per their assigned responsibilities and Community LIFE standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or a health or human services field.
  • A Minimum of five years of health care experience, and three years of management experience, preferably in a geriatric care setting required.
  • A minimum of one year's experience in working with the frail or elderly population.
  • The Center Administrator shall be knowledgeable of the physical, mental, and social needs of the elderly and be a professional in one of the following: Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Recreation, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Dietetics, or Gerontology.
  • Valid PA Driver's License
  • Highly adept at team facilitation and problem/conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of needs of elderly population in various disciplines.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Working knowledge of utilization review, quality assurance, and managed health care concepts.
  • Working knowledge of local health care and geriatric service networks.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree highly preferred.
