Insight Memory Care Center (IMCC) is looking for volunteers who would like to make an impact in the lives of older adults who have memory impairments such as Dementia or Alzheimer's. We are seeking compassionate and dependable volunteers to support our staff and participants across a variety of programs and departments. Volunteers play a vital role in creating a warm, engaging, and enriching environment for our participants. Our volunteers help under the supervision of an IMCC team member at all times. Volunteers may be asked to assist with e ngaging participants (in activities, games, and conversations), a ssisting with arts/crafts/music/recreational programs, supporting with s ocial dining, h elping with special events and celebrations and o ffering companionship and social interaction. Departments & Activity Areas Volunteers may choose to support one or more of the following areas: Day Center Activities & Recreation Early Stage Activities & Recreation Social Work Education and Support Insight Memory Care Center is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit whose mission is to provide specialized care, support and education for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments, their families, caregivers, and the community through our adult day health and resource center. Serving Northern Virginia since 1984, IMCC offers a spectrum of holistic care, education and support, with a vision of a community where those affected by memory impairments can achieve the highest quality of life. IMCC also provides a safe and therapeutic environment for people in all stages of dementia.
