About The Position

Jackson Parish Hospital is seeking a full-time Admissions Supervisor. This position comes with a full benefit package. The Admission Supervisor oversees the admissions processes of Jackson Parish Hospital.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent.
Minimum of (1) year of related work experience.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision.
Professional/Courteous rapport with patients, families, co-workers, physicians and visitors.
Ability to work under and handle stress in an appropriate manner.
Ability to work long hours between breaks and meals, if necessary.
Basic computer competency.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft products including Word and Excel.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot telephone, fax machine, copy machine, computer, and printer/scanner.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring that every registration desk is covered at all times; makes rounds to all clinics.
Prints provider’s daily schedule.
Verifies ER and Outpatient accounts are correct.
Looks over EWS schedule.
Performs Customer Service to help resolve any patient issues.
Approves time for Administrative Techs and maintains their attendance calendars.
Creates schedule for ER and Outpatient staff on a monthly basis; performs some clerical duties such as scanning and answering phones.
Corrects split account; corrects any incorrect dates on accounts.
Checks registration follow-up reports.
Completes QA reports.
Perform other assigned duties as necessary to support the Business Office.
Maintains and ensures patient confidentiality at all times.
Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated time frames.
Attends staff meetings as scheduled.
Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
Adheres to JPH policies and procedures.
