About The Position

Jackson Parish Hospital is seeking a full-time Admissions Supervisor. This position oversees the admissions processes of Jackson Parish Hospital.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of (1) year of related work experience
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision.
• Professional/Courteous rapport with patients, families, co-workers, physicians and visitors.
• Ability to work under and handle stress in an appropriate manner.
• Ability to work long hours between breaks and meals, if necessary.
• Basic computer competency.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft products including Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that every registration desk is covered at all times; makes rounds to all clinics.
• Prints provider’s daily schedule.
• Verifies ER and Outpatient accounts are correct.
• Looks over EWS schedule.
• Performs Customer Service to help resolve any patient issues.
• Approves time for Administrative Techs and maintains their attendance calendars.
• Creates schedule for ER and Outpatient staff on a monthly basis; performs some clerical duties such as scanning and answering phones.
• Corrects split account; corrects any incorrect dates on accounts.
• Checks registration follow-up reports.
• Completes QA reports.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary to support the Business Office.
• Maintains and ensures patient confidentiality at all times.
• Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated time frames.
• Attends staff meetings as scheduled.
• Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
• Adheres to JPH policies and procedures.
