About The Position

Leadership positions within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions are available for students who have worked in the office for a minimum of one semester. There are eight leadership positions. Must be a current Lipscomb University student. The primary responsibility of an Admissions Ambassador is to recruit prospective students to Lipscomb University. Each Ambassador will partner alongside admissions staff members to better communicate to prospective students, to help with processing within the office, to help showcase the campus through campus visits, and to support any other recruitment efforts. All 2026/2027 Student Ambassadors (with the exception of students on the Quest Team) will be expected to move into their dorms before Freshman Move in on August 10. Mandatory training for Ambassadors will be conducted August 9-16 while on campus to assist for Quest Week events August 11-16. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].   • Ability to manage time and responsibilities
  • Must be a current Lipscomb University student

Responsibilities

  • Recruit prospective students to Lipscomb University
  • Partner alongside admissions staff members to better communicate to prospective students
  • Help with processing within the office
  • Help showcase the campus through campus visits
  • Support any other recruitment efforts
  • Oversee training for all ambassadors (President)
  • Responsible for Training Manual (President)
  • Leads monthly meetings (President)
  • Directs student ambassadors on event days (President)
  • Boost ambassador morale (Vice President)
  • Plans games for meeting (Vice President)
  • Plans 1-2 social events per month for ambassadors (Vice President)
  • Treats for meeting (Vice President)
  • Ambassador Dundees (awards) in the spring (Vice President)
  • Assists in keeping Manual up to date, helps plan training (Vice President)
  • Monthly Newsletter/announcement at meeting (Secretary)
  • Keeps ambassadors up to date on new campus info, admissions info, meeting notes, etc. (Secretary)
  • Social Media content about Ambassadors for @golipscomb (Secretary)
  • Lead team specific training in January for any new hires (Managers)
  • Lead team meetings (Managers)
  • Manage team Slack (Managers)
  • Support team as needed (Managers)
  • Organize & assign tasks to data team (Managers)
