PURPOSE The Admissions Specialist II – International supports international and graduate admissions processing and applies analytical and systems-based methods, including structured data management, system workflows, and reporting processes, to evaluate applications, maintain data integrity, and support enrollment decision-making.

Requirements

  • Associate degree.
  • Two (2) years of related experience.
  • Additional education and/or experience may be considered as a substitution for the minimum requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with various groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
  • Good Direct experience working in higher education admissions.
  • Direct experience working in international admissions.
  • Working knowledge of Banner.

Responsibilities

  • Process international and graduate applications and admission decisions, including transcript and academic record review.
  • Perform GPA calculations and verify degree completion using established criteria.
  • Apply program-specific requirements and document decisions accurately in Banner and related systems.
  • Generate and issue applicant communications regarding admission status and outstanding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate admissions data in Banner, CRM, and imaging systems.
  • Perform routine data quality checks and identify discrepancies for correction.
  • Assist with basic reporting, data summaries, and documentation related to graduate admissions trends.
  • Apply structured data principles to support admissions system workflows, data validation, and reporting processes within Banner and CRM systems.
  • Support updates to system workflows, notifications, and process documentation under supervision.
  • Serve as a point of contact for prospective and current international and graduate students, faculty, and staff.
  • Explain admissions requirements, timelines, and system processes clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Coordinate with internal offices to resolve application issues and support enrollment timelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Enrollment Management operations.
