About The Position

Responsible for managing the patient intake and registration process in a hospital setting. Ensures accurate collection of patient information, verification of insurance coverage, and completion of required documentation prior to treatment or admission.

Requirements

  • Education: High School or GED Diploma required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in hospital admissions, patient registration, medical office, or related healthcare environment required; 3 or more years preferred.
  • Skills: Strong customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented with strong organizational abilities, accurate data entry and basic computer knowledge required.
  • Ability to verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations, knowledge of basic medical terminology, and understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations also required.
  • License / Certification: N/A
  • Travel Requirements: N/A
