About The Position

University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College at North Little Rock is an integral part of the Arkansas Technical and Community College System maintained by the State of Arkansas. The college is governed by the University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees and a seven-member Board of Visitors and derives its support largely from student tuition and fees and legislative appropriations. UA - Pulaski Tech, a comprehensive two-year college, offers associate degree and certificate programs for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities and/or for career preparation and advancement. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree. (Other educational efforts in conjunction with proven experience in streamlining systems to improve processing efficiencies may be substituted in place of a bachelor’s degree)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills are required.
  • General computer and web knowledge are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a secondary or post-secondary setting working with students and admissions or recruitment experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the admissions processes and procedures to assist prospective students with the completion of the application for admission and procurement of needed documents.
  • Become familiar with all data systems used to correctly process student applications to the college.
  • Proactively contact students as needed to verify data and correct/update data as needed.
  • Understand UA-PTC registration and advising processes in order to facilitate students from the admissions process to enrollment.
  • In addition to general prospect/applicant case load, manage a specific admission program or student population such as Early College, International Students, Baptist Health, or Adult Education.
  • Using strong customer services skills, make appropriate service and resource referrals.
  • Maintain and ensure confidentiality of student academic records and personal information.
  • Assist in college recruitment activities as requested.
  • Understand the financial aid policies and processes and provide general information; understand general awards and scholarship processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
